Pria Puri has had formal training from a polytechnic college in New Delhi and from FIDM, San Francisco. Pria Puri displayed her occidental collection for the first time at San Francisco fashion centre. Pria Puri is completely dedicated to Indian style of clothing. She believes in the amalgamation of occidental and western cultures in her designed apparels which again give a mystic and a more feminine appearance to the women.

Pria Puri is highly influenced by the gypsies and the Egyptian way of clothing. Her collection displays sensuality with elegant silhouettes. Her collection include intricate and exquisite hand embroidery, rustic colour, mirror work and luxurious feminine fabrics. The high level of creativity and excellence of Pria Puri is seen in her choice of colour and embroidery of the apparels she designs.

Pria Puri believes that it is her duty to preserve India's ancient heritage and art of handicrafts on materials. Her collection is very Indian in nature with the use of exquisite fabrics and designs in them. Colour and embroidery form an important part of her collection. Pria Puri uses a lot of hand trappings in wood threads as well as shells and beads. Her designs are modern in appearance and Indian in expression.

I am equally comfortable with Indian and Western clothes, thereby blending the best of both worlds". Of late in a fashion week Pria Puri had designed kaftans, tunics, dresses, blouses and saris with mirror work, crystals with silk tassels and the fabrics used were chiffons, silk, crepe, georgette, satin, velvet, jersey and tulle.
